It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Yes, autumn already ...

The weather's not getting any better here, but since I actually have a little free time right now, I'm going on holiday, some place where there's hopefully less rain. We'll see.

Current Projects

Manips and Digital Art

The project I'm working on at the moment is conceptual photo manip. I've only recently started, but I find it to be a lot of fun, so you'll probably see more of that from me.
The overall theme for one series will be "time", though in a very loose way. Another thing that's really fascinating is creating pictures based on literature. There are some scenes stuck in my head, we'll see if I manage to get them into the visual form I want them to be in.

I'm not really counting the continual changing of my journal css as a project, though I might as well.

I have no idea when I'm going to be satisfied with the way it looks. I suppose I'll just keep on changing it ...
