The Rest of my Life & Back With a New Design

Journal Entry: Wed Aug 26, 2009, 1:06 PM

Features | Projects | My RedBubble Account

Quick Hello

Since I need a little diversion right now, I thought I'd share some great pieces of work. Admiring other people's work is one of the few things nowadays that I can do and just relax. Most of the time I'm thinking about a whole lot of unpleasant things I can't change at the moment anyway... So I hope you'll enjoy these features with me! :)
On a sidenote: The new css was inspired by a part of the design of Cassandra Clare's Mortal Instruments homepage (read it, by the way, it's fun ;)), but when I look at it afterwards it reminds me more of Hundertwasser, somehow. :D Anyway, I like how it turned out.

The selection of pictures below was inspired in a way by the theme "Search for Meaning". Interpret as you will. ;) This year I've thought a lot about what I plan to do with my future (not for the first time, mind you, since I'm not exactly seventeen anymore, but hopefully more successfully than usual...) It always bothered me that I had no real plan or anthing that I could imagine doing for the rest of my life and still enjoy AND earn a living with. I hope I have found that now, because the rest of my life should start right now instead of passing me by. However what I'm doing now turns out, I'll try out the new thing regardless no matter if it's "exspected" to change course again and never settle for one thing, which is a really liberating thought and sets things in perspective. Now, if only I'd been smarter before and decided that earlier, but it seems you cannot be both young and wise... Wouldn't that be unfair. :D

Enough explanation, enjoy!

If we light a candle a shadow appears. The more we strive for light the bigger shadow will grow behind us.

Hey there Jessica. :) Thought I'd drop by and say 'hello'. I know the times I'm actually here on DA--much less when I send you a message--are pretty few and far between these days. I see you've been busy with some nice work though! I'll take a closer look when I get the chance.

So...I'll be touring Europe around May of next year and going through the western part of Germany. Any sights you recommend I should absolutely not miss?

Hi, it's nice to hear from you! At the moment I'm not exactly 'here' very often myself, just stopping by to check messages. Real life is mean to me in terms of workload. ;)
All of Europe sounds like quite the comprehensive program. I envy you. ^^ What kind of tourist are you, scenery or city? Both? I could recommend some pretty nice places, just tell me where you're passing through and how much time you have. Send a note, if you like. :)

Hmmm...the tour I'm looking at would pass through Cologne and Rhineland. But it's still tentative. Another option is through Frankfurt on to Czech Republic...I think. :P
